This Shabbat in Shul we will hear from two very impressive people. On Friday night, we will hear from Rod Silva, who, together with his beautiful family, will be making Aliyah in the coming week. Rod, Elle and their children have become part of our Maroubra Shul family over the past year and this will be their last Shabbat with us before they leave. Rod will share with us some reflections on his journey to Judaism and various experiences within our community. 

 

On Shabbat day we will hear from Dr Harold Serebro about his thoughts on the Shoah, the current conflict in Israel and the threat from Iran. Dr Serebro has spent time discussing the topic of “Peace” with world leaders such as Mandela and has addressed audiences at AIPAC and other major Synagogues around the world.
