Parsha: Naso (2025)

Dear Kehila,

So much happened in the last week. We also just embarked onto a new journey as the renovations to our shule have officially begun!

In the last 12 days, our Shule had a “Jerusalem Shuk” event for kids, a Shavuot women’s event, our “Talmud decoded” class, and on a more somber note a special event honouring soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the current war, and 2 memorial services.

On Shavuot we had a sold out dinner with a really special guest speaker, Senator Dave Sharma. Shavuot day it was so nice to see so many children joining with their parents for Ten Commandments and ice cream.

The beauty of a community is not just in its physical beauty but also it being full with people of all ages celebrating and experiencing Judaism. Both of these elements together, create something unique, that both inspires and invokes dedication.

It isn’t just coincidence that this week’s Parsha talks about the various donations and gifts that were brought to mark the inauguration of the Mishkan (Tabernacle).

This expresses the need and Mitzvah to beautify our sanctuary.
When creating a place for connecting and praying to Hashem we do it with our best. The most holiest and important part of our lives should be beautiful.

Looking forward to seeing you in shule during this exciting time, and then very soon celebrating together in the new renovated shule Bezrat Hashem.

Shabbat Shalom!
